We had a great experience, wait time was 10 min, hostess was great, Joshua C 1156 was our server and was probably one of the best waiters I've had the pleasure of meeting in a long time.

Every few months or so, we try to go back to some of those old trusty franchise establishments to see if we would like it more from the previous times we might have gone to those places. Ruby Tuesdays here in the Maine Mall did not fall into the category of getting better as a matter of fact, i feel that each time we go back it seems to get worse, all the while they are trying to moidfy and change around their manu to look like a fine eating establishment when it really just tastes like a frozen smorgasbord of goop. The day we came into this one for a work luch meeting there were really so many things wrong and I am not going to go into too much detail here except to summarizei it as ... bad service, salad bar not kept up and dirty, bathrooms were in pretty bad shape and the place was empty and finally to top it all off the food was not very good with the dish I was trying (one of their newer dishes) was a cheesy grits and seafood plate that was gummy and not very hot which in turn made me skeptical to eat (seafood and lukewarm do not go together very well). After we were finsihed what we were eating (what we could eat) the waitstaff was more interested in hanging out with each other and joking around the bar area than actually helping and assisting our party of work patrons. I am sure in the grand scheme of things, i may go back to another Ruby Tuesdays when I am in a pinch but I will sadly be reminded that they are just not that great and I need to stay away. Oh well, I should know these things ... onto the next.

The food's good. I like the shrimp dip and chips they always recommend. Also had the ribs which were fall-off-the-bone good and the tilapia (I forgot which one) which was good too. The sides aren't that great. The better sides are an extra dollar (like baked mac n cheese, asparagus, sweet potato fries,..). The price is as much as you would pay for these kind of restaurants ~$15 entrees. The portions are kind of small. Nice place and servers.

My experience was a while ago but i just learned of yelp. Food was fine, service was poor. But on the way out the waitress stopped my 9 months pregnant friend to yell at her because we didnt leave a "good enough tip". We left a tip we though was appropriate for the service we got. We had to flag her down multiple times, it was pretty slow at the time too. I know she was probably asked to do a million things but waiting 20 minutes after we are done and then having to go find her to get the check? She could have zipped by and rushed us and it would have been way better then flat out forgetting us. But i digress. I have been to other Ruby Tuesdays since and had a great experience. But i will never return to this one for fear of being yelled at for giving the tip that was deserved. Yelling at us just proved we gave her the amount she deserved.

Never EVER have I experienced a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than this craphole. Watered down drinks, depressing atmosphere, sad sack patrons. Listen, I'm no gem but this batch of servers and patrons give me the willies something awful. I can denigrate myself to make you feel better but these are some serious dregs. Piss everywhere, (in the bathroom only thankfully) water drinks. Not watered down, WATER. I am writing this as I sit here. I have to stop. It's too mean to continue. Go anywhere else, for your sanity.

Came here after a meeting in Portland and met up with an old college friend. The restaurant had very few people in it but it took them about 5 minutes to acknowledge our existence. A waitress even glanced up at us, said nothing and walked away. We should have known then it was just an example of what was to come. The hostess finally showed up and had us follow her to the back to a table by the bar. We both ordered water and the waitress seemed annoyed by our choice. Our waters arrived and I ordered the Asiago peppercorn top sirloin as I had heard from a friend that it was pretty good. I got fries with it and the salad and bar. The salad bar was cold enough that one would not have to worry about food poisoning that's for sure (like a mini AC). The food finally came and I dug into my steak. It was pretty good but definitely not worth $16. At this point I should tell you that our waitress (a dark haired 35ish year old) was also working the bar. I NEVER saw even a remote smile on her face. She gave the vibe like we were inconveniencing her by being there. I simply paid my bill and left. I will NEVER go to this Ruby Tuesday's again. This was by far the worst service I have EVER received. I get a better reception going through a McDonald's drive-through. Never again. Diner's beware, don't fall for this place.

Service was horrible and the food was mediocre at best. We waited 1 hour for our food and from seated to leaving out the door was 1 hour and 45 mins. Keep in mind this was a Thursday night and not very busy. The one good thing was the salad bar, it had tons of options.

We certainly have been to a lot of chain restaurants but the Ruby Tuesday at the Maine Mall is a cut above the rest. The place was clean and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had the house chardonnay that was great. We also had two appetizers; the guacamole dip that is house made and lettuce wraps. Both were nice and made for a great mid-afternoon break from mall shopping.

Great service, average food. 2.5 stars (I chose the 3 on Yelp because the service was really excellent, we were seated quickly, and the garlic cheddar biscuits are really good.) We ended up here for dinner on Friday night because we had some last minute errands at the mall, and we haven't been happy with Jimmy the Greeks on our last few visits. I have no idea if this location regularly takes reservations, but we called ahead when we left the house to put our name on the list, and our table was being cleaned when we arrived 15 minutes later. I was very thankful for the accommodation because I was beginning to get HANGRY. The place looks very dated and could use some updating.. one of our booth seats had broken springs, which made it uncomfortable. I ordered their new Hickory Bourbon Chicken, as it seems they've removed their old BBQ chicken since I last came a few years ago. I wish I had asked for the BBQ sauce on the side and not directly on the chicken, because they don't actually marinate the chicken (they just toss it on the grill with BBQ sauce slapped on), so some of the sauce was burnt. I ended up cutting around the burnt edges, which was tons of fun. My sides were the mashed potatoes (I remember these being tastier?) and mac and cheese (tasted like Kraft, honestly, and not at all original). We hadn't been here in a long time, so maybe it was a lapse in judgment that we'd have a decent meal here. It was only okay, a little bland and unflavorful. I do love some of the drinks they make here (like the holiday sangria, which is typically available after Thanksgiving) but I wouldn't go out of my way for them.

Don't waste your time on the So. Portland Ruby Tuesday. 5 of us for lunch is this is how it went. Got there at noon. Place had very few customers and I was soon to learn why. Server Claire was ok but here is how our meal went. 2 burgers ordered medium rare..came out well done pasta with chicken and broccoli came out barely warm, my turkey burger came out when everyone else was done except the re-fire on the pasta dish. My grandson ordered chicken tenders off the kids menu and he couldn't eat it. So well fried that they were almost black. $58 lunch and everyone left dissatisfied.

I'd like to say that this was my first and last time coming to Ruby Tuesday's. They really are a fancy looking fast food joint, like McDonalds on steriods and with a serious makeover. The fries were previously frozen, the ribs were hardly sauced and there was more fat than meat on the bones. The side of rice pilaf I had was clumpy, dry, and totally unappealing. I also ordered three bacon-wrapped shrimp. All three were tough and chewy and drowning in barbecue sauce (now I know where my rib's sauce went...) The molten lava cake dessert was quite good but had a microwaved taste to it. The vanilla ice cream was freezer burnt. They did a great job with dessert presentation and served it on a long white rectangular plate, with strawberry jelly as a dipping for the ice cream and the fudge cake. Yet it all felt so pre-prepared and FAST FOOD. And for all of this, you were expected to fork over $18 for your entree and another $6 for your dessert. You're better off at McDonalds for quality and for your wallet. I'll give it another star for our service, which was very good, friendly, and attentive. If only the food matched the quality of their wait staff.

Excellent food attentive service from the waitress and endless food and beer selections! I had the blue cheese burger that rivaled top notch eateries. No complaints here and the food came out with rapid speed and a friendly staff. Will visit if i'm in the area again!
